This work is an abstract expression of the artist’s meditative observations of nature. It captures dappled sunlight filtering through foliage and dead tree trunks decaying into the moist earth. the artist seeks to emulate the innate abstract design and movement of the organic environment. Produced in 2021, it is also a reflect of the dark outlook that shrouded the world during the pandemic, but that glimmers of light always manage to seep through.

Brushes the artist makes herself from plant fibres were used to produce the strong calligraphic lines and detailed textures. Korean mulberry paper is used, reflecting the artist’s cultural heritage.
